PeterFever the Sommelier

I recently started enjoying fine wines. Between my manager and friends inviting me out to go wine tasting, I’m getting pretty good at telling the difference between good wine and great wine. This past weekend my manager and I went to Concannon Winery in Livermore, CA for a special member’s event. There I tried over 14 wines and 3 champagnes. I definitely prefer reds, especially Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah. But I had a pretty good Pinot Noir and a Tempranillo. In a couple of weeks I’m planning to head up to Napa to do some more tasting; so if you guys have any suggestions of places I should visit up there, tell me in the comments section. And if you work at one of the wineries up there, well write me at blog@peterfever.com and let’s setup a private tasting 🙂

  1. A few yrs ago I went to a great little vineyard in Sonoma called Viansa. All of their grapes are from Tuscany. I believe it was the private vineyard of the Sebastiani family. If you check it out let me know what you think.

  2. Hey Peter. Years ago I went to a great little vineyard in Sonoma called Viansa and for a while had them ship various wines to me. All of their grapes are from Tuscany but it was the private vineyard I believe of the Sebastiani family. They produce some really good wines. If you check it out let me know what you think.
