I got the chance to speak with The Beijinger about my experiences growing up as an Asian American. I grew up in California where the majority were Caucasian people who couldn’t relate to me. I was constantly being bullied. I also struggled living in an Asian American family where communication was the best and my sexuality was not always accepted. I’m blessed to have the support of my fans in Asia who are dedicated enough to come see me perform whenever I make special appearances.
