It is easy to take things to extremes, like weighing all of my solid and liquid foods before I would eat them; keeping a food journal documenting everything I ate, times I ate, and calories; and if I went out I would only eat at a place that knew all of this information otherwise I wouldn\u2019t eat there. I got good at counting calories over time. I could just look at food and tell you how much it weigh and how many calories it contained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The food journal is great when it comes to dieting because it\u2019s all about calories in versus calories out. I tried so many different diets based on 2,500 calories, from all protein diets to full vegetarian diets. After all my tests, I found everything to be basically the same. If you want to gain muscle, you must train with heavy weights to stimulate the growth hormones, which cause you to eat more to feed and support the new muscle. And being a vegetarian doesn\u2019t mean you will be lean and healthy. I have many clients who believe eating meat prevent them from losing weight. But I always say, if you eat too much of anything, even too much healthy food, you will gain weight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After testing multiple diets, extensive research and training programs I developed, I was able to write up my results which I share with you in my three book set on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.PetePhysique.com\" target=\"_blank\">PetePhysique.com<\/a>.
