Whenever I travel, I like getting a message after I land to loosen my muscles after sitting for hours. The time difference between San Francisco and New York is three hours, so when I landed at 6:30 in the morning, my internal clock was still set to 3:30 a.m. My buddy Joe met me at the airport, we went to breakfast, and then we went to his place to drop off my bag. I decided not to take a nap because I didn\u2019t want to miss anything since I was going to be there for only a few days.<\/p>\n

We started walking around New York and I noticed a spa around the corner from Joe\u2019s place. Perfect, because my body was aching from the plane ride. I went in and was greeted by a lady who wanted to know if I would like an hour body massage which sounded great.<\/p>\n

She took me to my room and told me to get undressed and to lie down under the towel. The room was cold and since I don\u2019t have much body fat, I get chilled easily. A minute later another woman came in to give me the message. She didn\u2019t say anything to me or even ask if I needed her to concentrate on any part of my body.<\/p>\n

She started by spilling massage oil all over my back, seemed like she was afraid to touch me because it was way too soft, and was coughing the entire time. WTF, coughing while massaging me? I asked her repeatedly to massage me harder, but she refused to respond. After about 15 minutes, I had enough and got up off the table, got dressed and walked out.
