T<\/span>oday is a historical day! The Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriages. I’m sure you guys have been hearing about it all over the news, but I just wanted to give you guys a summary of the ruling and what it means to us. Here are some key points:<\/span><\/h3>\n

1) same-sex marriage will begin towards the end of July<\/span><\/h3>\n

2) gay marriage does not apply statewide<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

3) for the 18,000 gay couples married in California of 2008, the government must treat legally same-sex couples the same as heterosexual couples in terms of benefits.<\/span><\/h3>\n

4) it takes 25 days from the ruling to be final, but it could be faster.<\/span><\/h3>\n
