It’s not unusual for a person to say that I have poor communication skills in the past; it has gotten better now. I think being the first generation Asian American in my family, I was never taught to express myself with words. I was taught to just obey my parents and never question them. If something bothered me, I would try to brush it off or be passive aggressive. This way of growing up lingered into my communication with others in my adulthood.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Now, I’m the type of person who is too direct and some of my friends think I’m cold. It’s worst when I reply through emails or text because an emoticon wasn’t properly used. I picked up this book over the weekend to understand more about communication and how it can improve my skills. I mean all I want is to get my words across \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/h3>\n
