Club M2 had one of the biggest moments in Shanghai Pride history. I have to give you some details why. Prior to booking the Pride event at M2, it was voted the number 1 club in Shanghai. Granted that they tailor to the straight party goers, people could not deny their venue layout, top rated laser show equipment, amazing DJs, and sexy performers. Locals and visitors have a blast here.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

When Pride happened, M2 did not anticipate the size of the crowd\u00a0and neither did the organizers. Club M2 opened their doors at 9 PM, but all the pride people where already lining up at the door at 8 PM. By 9:30PM, the line got so long that people had to line up on the streets. My show didn’t even start until midnight, but people where refused entry because the club already reached their 3,000 max capacity by 10 PM. This is a good problem for the club but not so great for my fans. Nearby clubs ended up giving free entry (which rarely happens) to ones who couldn\u2019t wait in line to enter M2.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

What does this all mean? It means each year Shanghai Pride is gaining more attendance than expected at\u00a0their events. We are getting more and more supporters and sponsors. In other words, Pride is bringing awareness to the Shanghai community and letting others know that it\u2019s OK to be who you are. I love their slogan this year \u201cbetter together\u201d, it just describes how Pride suppose to be.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n
