AsiaSF - Hanging out with Friends<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Saturday night was just awesome. Larry Hashbarger invited me and some friends over to<\/span> AsiaSF at 201 Ninth Street @ Howard Street, San Francisco<\/span><\/a><\/span>. AsiaSF combines four things, a superb California-Asian cuisine restaurant, a full bar and lounge, a totally hot dance club, and some of the best entertainment in the entire state. But more than that, they truly celebrate diversity.<\/span><\/h4>\n

You see, while the incredible meal is being served, we were entertained by world famous transgender stars; beautiful and talented ladies from all over the world. They actually perform on a runway that is attached to the bar which is the centerpiece of the dining room. I have to say, the show was stimulating, hilarious at times (my pussy song), and brilliantly choreographed by Ronnie Reddick. One of my friends captured some of the entertainment with his cell phone (sorry for the poor video quality), but check out the video and you will see how entertaining it was for us.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The menu was extraordinary. The first course had Blackened Tuna Sashimi, Tamarind Chicken Satays, Asia-dilla (a quesadilla stuffed with duck and dipped in cr\u00e8me fraiche), Baby Bok Choy & Shiitakes, and Grilled Shrimp & Herb Salad. The second course included Miso Glazed King Salmon, Orange Lamb, Baby Got Back Ribs in honey-tamarind glaze, and Truffled Soba Noodles. For dessert we had Miniature Ice Cream Cones and Warm Banana Beignets with Chocolate and Caramel dipping sauces. Needless to say, my taste buds were shouting, \u201cOh Yes\u201d while my abs were crying out, \u201cAre you crazy, you have a competition at the end of the month.\u201d It didn\u2019t matter; I succumbed this one night to the delicious feast.<\/span><\/h4>\n

After the entertainment ended, we all headed downstairs to the dance club, where I met fans and even made some new ones. At one point Larry opened another section of the dance club where they had a stripper pole and some women from a bachelorette party jumped on and did a pretty good job swinging around.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Needless to say my friends and I had one terrific night and I want to thank all of the entertainers, servers, bartenders, and of course Larry and co-founder Skip Young for the fantastic night of food, fun and entertainment.
