I found out there is a popular sex toy shop in Tokyo and I wanted to bring my video camera in so I could do a YouTube video on it. I asked my friend if it was ok to record in the store and he said, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter, you can always do the Gaijin Smash.\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n

I asked what the Gaijin Smash is and he explained that because Japanese people are so polite, when they see foreigners doing something they aren\u2019t supposed to, they don\u2019t say anything. So foreigners who know this, take advantage of their politeness by doing whatever they want; this is the Gaijin Smash.<\/span><\/h4>\n

I don\u2019t like when people try to take advantage of my politeness, so I definitely didn\u2019t want to do the Gaijin Smash to anyone else. Instead, I took some photos at a department store (which is allowed) while looking around.<\/span><\/h4>\n
