I finally finished The Hunger Games<\/em>, the first book in a trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Tomorrow I will start reading the second book Catching Fire<\/em>, which is then followed by the third and final book Mockingjay<\/em>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Like my friend said, it was an easy read. Many people I\u2019ve talked to have read it or are in the middle of reading one of the books. Hopefully I will have finished all three by the time I return home from Japan. I would like to start a discussion group to talk about the characters and points brought up in the book. Is this a possible reality or just sci-fi? Does it reflect where the world might be headed? After all the main themes are about government control, big brother, and personal independence. I think it would be fun to have a discussion about all of this, maybe even a live chat online.<\/span><\/h4>\n

I also read that Hollywood is planning to make a movie based on the first book. Even though the movies are never as good as the books, I think it has the potential. Is this going to be as big as Harry Potter? What do you guys think?<\/span><\/h4>\n
