I thought I could escape the cold and rainy weather in the Bay Area by taking a weekend vacation to Carmel, but I couldn’t avoid it. I had fun in Carmel, in spite of the rain. The beaches are so beautiful and it was nice being away form the city. I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium and watched the penguins and sea otters during their feeding time. The next day I visited the Carmel Mission (Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo) which is a must see according to Tripadvisor. The Carmel Mission had the first library in California and was established in the early 1720’s before United States became a country. I\u2019ve never been to Pebble Beach before, so I took my Lexus on 17 Mile Drive. It was very relaxing and had 22 view points of different historic landmarks. Here are some photos from my trip.
