As much as I love living in Chicago, sometimes I get a little homesick for all the Vietnamese goodness back in San Jose. Today my buddy Pat took me over to the Vietnamese part of Chitown. I’ve been craving pho, so I ordered an extra big bowl with extra meat. You know me, the more meat the better. 😉
After that I got my favorite Vietnamese sugar cane drink, we wandered around all the different shops. We found an awesome little home-style bakery where I got some buns. I loved being there today since it felt like being back home.
I realized today that even though there’s no place like home, Chicago has got what it takes to cure my pho cravings.
I actually live in San Jose but go to school at a UC hours away. Sometimes I get home sick at school miss my SJ too
You were eating only a few blocks from my condo. If you are going to be that close you might as well just stop over so I can live my fantasy. And your buns look yummy.
