Administrative Assistant – Washington, D.C.
The National Center for Lesbian Rights seeks a highly skilled, enthusiastic, diligent, and motivated individual for an administrative assistant position in our Washington D.C. regional office. This part-time position will require 20 hours per week. The part-time assistant will work closely with legal and program staff and report directly to the Federal Policy Director.

Policy Clerk – Washington, D.C.
The National Center for Lesbian Rights is seeking a policy clerk to assist in NCLR’s federal and state policy and legislative work in Washington, D.C. The clerk’s responsibilities will include: legal and factual research and writing related to policy advocacy; tracking developments in pending LGBT-related legislation; reviewing and analyzing pending regulations, policy proposals, and legislative language; and participating in various coalition meetings related to law and policy changes and proposals.
The position is in NCLR’s Washington D.C. office located at 1325 Massachusetts Ave, NW. During the fall and spring semesters, the position runs throughout the semester and requires a commitment of at least 12 hours per week. During the summer, the position is 40 hours per week and a commitment of at least 10 weeks is requested.

Public Policy Associate – San Francisco, Los Angeles
The National Center for Lesbian Rights is now welcoming applications from current or incoming law firm associates who have been offered a “deferral” to work in public interest law for a period of time with financial support from their employer. The public interest associate would assist with all aspects of NCLR’s national impact litigation, public policy, and educational work, acting in a role similar to that of NCLR staff attorneys at a level commensurate with the applicant’s experience as a practicing attorney.
