Japanese Beer Taste Test

My friends and I closed an all you can eat & drink restaurant in Kobe last night. They decided that the Fever needed to do a Japanese beer taste test and I had to decide which beer is the best. The test was between Asahi, Sapporo, and Kirin Shu-hai (strong grapefruit). The result, Kirin Shu-hai tasted the best to me. Then I found out it has less than 100 calories, it tastes like cross between fruit soda and a wine cooler, and is it is 8% alcohol. No need to guess what I will be drinking on the rest of the trip.

Do you guys have any other beers I should try while I’m here? Write to me in the comments.

  1. My faves are Kirin and asahi!
I think I tried Shu Hai before, sounds pretty familiar.
WHen i was in San Fransisco, I tried a nice tasting Japanese beer, but I cannot recall the name of it!

I also heard they have/had a caramel flavored beer there, and some other flavored stuff too!!
