Mission Peak and Sunny 16 Rule

I went hiking today to burn off the high calorie Big Mac that I had the other night and to practice on my photography. In my photography class over the weekend, we learned about the sunny 16 rule and I wanted to see if it worked. Basically with your camera in your manual mode, you set the ISO and Shutter Speed at 100 and the F- Stop (aperture) to 16 and you will get perfect photos when it’s a sunny day. I wanted to take some artsy photos, but only one came out clean, it’s a photo of a sweater hanging. But I add some photos of me flexing and posing. I burned at least 1000 calories and came home with blisters on my feet from coming down the hill.

  1. The sweater is good if the wind was blowing, it is difficult to get a clean shot of something if there is movement. Looking good, nice crisp edges on the article and great color. You are well on your way.

  2. Hiking, awesome way to burn off that Mcy-D LoL. Beautiful surroundings, fresh air, and burning calories while you enjoy it! Sorry to hear about the blisters though.

As for the photos, some would say, you flexing and posing is “artsy” enough… I would LOL
