Since moving to the Midwest, I’ve had a lot of fun experiencing all kinds of new things. One thing I did this weekend was go out to a pumpkin patch. In Cali, I was used to getting my Halloween pumpkins from the supermarket, so this was totally new for me. I spent the day drinking hot chocolate, screaming my way through a haunted barn, petting exotic farm animals, betting on pig races, and… pumpkin chunkin!

For my fans that don’t know about this crazy sport, pumpkin chunkin is basically a competition to see how far you can fling a pumpkin with some kind of machine. People use everything from huge slingshots to advanced cannons. The cannon that holds the world record for the farthest shot to date is called “The Big 10 Inch” – think they named it after me?
