My Tattoo’s Meaning

PeterFever's Tattoo

I frequently get asked the meaning behind my tattoo on my right shoulder. When I was in my freshmen year of college, I felt I needed something to make me stand out from the crowd. While in Psychology 101 class, I started drawing abstract tribal designs. Over the course of a few weeks, a couple of hours here and there, I was able to tweak my design into what you see today.

There was a lot of thought that went into the design. I find that many things happen in 3’s, so there are three distinct sections to my tattoo. 1) Fire – The way the edges are jagged represent fire. I decided on fire because I live my life to the fullest and I have a passion for getting others fired up and excited about life too. 2) Energy – There is fluidity in the design to represent how my spiritually is constantly gaining energy as I move up to higher levels of understanding. 3) Balance – As you can see there are three main sections, broken into smaller pieces, but everything is held together because they are in balance with each other. No matter how crazy my life gets, I always focus and bring myself back into balance which is so important to staying healthy and living a long life.

And now you understand why it was so important to brand my clothing with that tattoo, because I want to share with you the Fire, Energy, and Balance which is so important in all of our lives. Each time you wear one of my custom designed items from my store, it will act as a reminder of what is important in life and it will help keep you on track.

Have a wonderful journey on this thing called LIFE.

  1. wow, awesome meaning behind the tattoo! I’ve got one on my forearm that represents how love and family will always conquer pain, suffering and hatred. Always cool when a tattoo has meaning!

  2. Hey Peter- I just saw the postings about ideas regarding underwear, I’m sure you have researched most of your competition, but if not here are a few companies I am aware of, International Male, UnderGear, FreshPair- they have a line called Piss and Vinegar which is cute and thought provoking. A little like the Lucky Brand jeans has their tag by the zipper- Who’s lucky or feeling lucky? Something along those lines if you want to use words, come up with a play on the words or double entendre without being too goofy, or even use symbols like I <3(heart) Peter! GREAT for all your gay fans and the women will love them especially in boxers to lounge around in- Check out Ed Hardy also and you might be inspired as to a way to include your tattoo. Lounge pants or work out sweats, shorts, tanks would probably also go over well. A reversible robe with a full body shot of you on one side and your tattoo logo on the other would be cool too. Fabrics should be varied, some folks are satin or silk, others cotton or spandex. Leather, lace, wool, cashmere, jeweled could form the basis of an upscale or specialty division. ( I will look forward to a small override on any ideas you actually use- how does that work for you?) I think the most important place to start is with styles and fabrics that you enjoy either wearing or seeing as first hand experience with a product always makes it easier to sell and more believable on the part of the purchaser. Much luck and continued success to you on your endeavors.

    • Tomas -- Thanks for sharing your thoughts on underwear. As for your other suggestions, we already started working on those kinds of items a while ago. It just takes time to bring them to the market and I don’t want to release everything at once. I just want to make sure production is ready when K-Town airs. Underwear is one of the last things I still need input on because I want to make sure I’m designing things my fans will purchase. Thanks again.

  3. Glad to understand your meaning of the cool design on the great hat I just received; thanks for the high quality and fast shipping. As you plan shirts, would you consider some that have a dark background with the text & design in a light color? We don’t all live in sunny California…

    • I’m glad you love the hat. The hats and t-shirts were the easiest to finish so that’s why they were posted first. I meet with the manufacturers today and they are working on Jackets, hoodies, pull overs, active and sports wear, fleece products, towels, gym bags, polo shirts, crew necks, v-necks and much, much more. And yes future stuff with have a small embroidered logo on them more like Ralph Lauren style. About 80% of the new stuff coming out will be in darker colors too. Oh I’m also doing swimwear for the Aussie’s enjoying summer right now and underwear for everyone. Believe it or not, underwear is the most complicated and very expensive to produce; I was shocked. So keep checking the store, more stuff is on it’s way.
