One reader recently asked me if it’s possible to lose body fat and gain muscle at the same time. I know a bunch of muscle magazines swear by it, but the truth is you can’t. You can’t build muscle and loss body fat at the same time unless you just started training from a very long break or you are taking drug enhancements.
The fact is, if you burn more calories than you consume, then you will lose weight. It’s also true that if you want to gain more muscle then you have to eat more than what your body burns. The best way to approach this is that you find a balance between maintain your muscles while burning fat.
If you plan on just losing body fat, then continue training the same way you have been training, all you need to do is decrease your calorie count. After a few weeks, if you feel your strength has decreased then you are cutting your calories too hard. The solution for that is to re-adjust your calories. In fact, I was 127 kilograms and my weight changed to 77 kilograms in a year so I still have bad skin attach me.
