5 Minute Shoulder Workout

I used this technique in the past during my college years to bulk-up fast for a photo shoot. When I wrestled on the team, I was trained by the Fresno State football team head trainer. His main goal was to make people big and strong. He said to me, “less is more.” I thought to myself there is no way that my workouts can be done in only 5 minutes a day 3 times a week. I used to train at least 1 ½ hours in the gym every day. I found out that everything I was doing was wrong.

I followed his rule book for a month and my shoulders were so defined and strong, just like he said. So, I’m sharing some of my secrets with you so you can’t use the excuse that you are too busy and have no time.

Here’s the 5 Minute Shoulder Workout

Barbell Shoulder Press

2 sets of 5 to 7 reps with 3 minutes between sets; but here’s the trick.

You lower the weight for 5 seconds until the bar is at eye level and then you push-up for 5 seconds until you arms are straight, but not locked.
Try this out and you will feel and see your shoulders grow!

    • The weight should be something you can do at least 5 reps of but no more than 7 reps. You should struggle on the last rep otherwise the weight is too light.
