I get this question all the time, “when is the best time to train”. The answer is the earlier the better. I know that waking up at 5 AM to hit the gym before your work start is tough, and the thought of it just makes you tired. However, in reality, it’s harder when you come home from work mentally exhausted and then planning to hit the gym in the evening. It’s so easy to stuff your face with a big meal for dinner and call it a night. Trust me, I’ve been there before. Once you set a fitness goal, you have to put the effort into achieving it.
Training in the morning has great benefits for the rest of your day. When you work out, the blood flow pumps more into your body and brain, making you more awake. Also finishing a tough workout keeps you calm throughout the day. Try having some coffee in the morning to boost your energy. It’s easier to make more excuses to skip the gym in the evening than it is in the morning. Good luck.
