Last weekend I competed in powerlifting, I won 1st place and won Best Male Lifter. Many people at the gym I told about my 1st place, asked if I won any money. I would smile and say no. Competing in powerlifting is about competing against yourself. It’s one of the reasons why I love wrestling and this sport. You don’t depend on any teammates or other variables. It’s a very objective sport. I wish I got into this sport earlier on, I felt that all those years I competed in bodybuilding doesn’t compare to winning in powerlifting. At the competition, I squat 440 lbs, bench 380 lbs and conventional deadlift 573 lbs. The only thing I would have changed, would be my transportation. I should have taken my car instead of my motorcycle. I thought doing a fun long 2 hour ride would be so relaxing. Riding up sucked, I was freezing and fatigued. What a way to start off the morning of the competition. Well, you live and you learn.
Still can’t believe how good you look in that singlet <3
