I used to like having different TV stations playing in multiple TV sets because it was great entertainment and distraction during my rest period. I would see what’s on TV for a bit and get back to heavy lifting. Ever since football season started though, all the TVs at my gym are airing the EPSN network which has hours of the current week’s highlights. It’s hard to watch all 16 games a weekend, so I catch up by watching these programs.
But here is the problem, I get so tuned in with the game’s highlight that I forget that I’m even in the gym working out. The worst part about that is when they show reruns of the highlights, that I’ve already seen, I still watch the clip like I never seen it before. I feel like I’m not having a productive training whenever they have that show on, I guess I need to train on a different day instead.
TV is a distraction, but I easily get distracted with the cute guys around me lol.
Our gym doesn’t have tv’s in the weight lifting area. They are only by the cardio machines.
